CASE STUDY - BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA
Retrofit Service saves apartment property 55% on monthly water consumption
The Background
The multifamily property in Baton Rouge, Louisiana was built in 1978 and has a total of 271 apartment units. The property still had the original and inefficient plumbing fixtures – toilets, showerheads and aerators.
In 2016 & 2017, the water/sewer bills averaged $10,692 per month and the average monthly water consumption was over 1.89 million gallons.
The Solution
eConserve created a solution to significantly reduce water consumption and decrease the monthly water/sewer expense.
In September 2017, eConserve implemented its Retrofit Services. This water conservation service fixes all drips and leaks in each apartment unit and installs water-saving products.
The Results
In the 14 months after the completion of the water conservation solution, the results have been positive.
The average monthly water consumption dropped from 1.89 million gallons of water to 847,000 gallons of water, saving 1.04 million gallons of water for the environment.
The average water/sewer expense decreased from $10,692 per month to $7,019 per month, a 34% financial savings.
